Numbers of Supervisors: Section 9.1. The City shall have the maximum number of representatives on the County Board of Supervisors to which it is entitled by statute. Designation of Supervisors: Section 9.2. The Assessor of the City shall be one of the representatives of the city on the Board of Supervisors. In case he shall be unable to perform the duties of his office for any reason, the Commission may appoint such other person or officer as may be permitted by statute to serve in his stead, either temporarily or permanently. The additional representative or representatives to which the city may be entitled on the County Board shall be appointed by the City Commission and shall serve at the pleasure of the Commission. Such representatives shall be qualified electors of the city, shall have been residents of the city for at least two years immediately prior to their appointment, and may be elective or appointive officials of the City. If any representative of the City shall be unable to attend any meeting of the Board because of absence or disability, the Commission shall appoint some other qualified person to discharge the duties of such office during such absence or disability. Compensation of Supervisors: Section 9.3. All representatives of the City on the County Board of Supervisors shall be entitled to retain any compensation paid to them as members of such board. |
